In the laboratory of digital fabrication, FabLearn, we are going to teach fundamentals of digital fabrication to school children. We plan to introduce innovative educational solutions for teaching: electronics, programming, robotics, design, virtual prototyping.
Our laboratory is equipped with some of the most advanced technologies from Poland, Japan and the CIS region. It includes electronics kits, 3D printers, fraser CNC soldering machines, various hand tools, which enable users to bring their digital designs into the physical realm for young learners. These facilities will provide individuals with the means to create virtual and physical prototypes, and experiment with various materials and projects. Our FabLearn aims to be a space for learning, where children converge to share knowledge and solve problems.
By introducing school children to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on experience, the lab will nurture a growing interest in these critical fields. Workshops and courses will range from basic introductions to technology to advanced classes in computer aided design, virtual prototyping, reverse engineering, robotics, programming, and material science. This kind of environment encourages problem-solving skills and critical thinking, which are essential young learners.
After finishing learning at FabLearn laboratory, our students will be invited to join our FabLab.
